Hair & Makeup Services

A makeup artist applies a rich, rosy lip stain during a boudoir makeup lip stain application session. The woman's lips are slightly parted as the artist uses a fine brush to carefully define the edges and blend the color into the natural texture of her lips. The lip stain is a bold pinkish-berry hue, enhancing her complexion with a soft, seductive touch. Her eyes are closed, showcasing smoky eyeshadow in blended tones of deep charcoal and warm brown, with a subtle shimmer highlighting the inner corners. Her skin appears flawless with a radiant finish, and her long, golden-blonde hair cascades softly over her shoulder. The artist’s nails, painted with a marble-like gray design, add a touch of modern flair to the scene. The blurred reflection of the makeup application in the mirror adds an intimate, behind-the-scenes feel to this boudoir beauty moment.
  • Professional hair and makeup will be provided for you.
  • Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face so my artist has the perfect canvas to start with.
  • Wash and dry your hair the morning of your session so it’s ready for styling.
  • While most won’t have a problem with their makeup lasting all day, stuff happens. It never hurts to bring the basics like mascara and your favorite lipstick just in case.

What to Wear To Your Photo Shoot

  • Choose loose-fitting, comfortable clothing to avoid skin marks before your session. Plus you should be cozy while you’re getting your makeover.
  • Yoga pants, pajamas, or robes are all great.
  • If you decide against bringing a robe, a blanket might good to consider so you can stay warm between sets. Slippers can also help keep you cozy.
  • Goosebumps are impossible to edit out of your photos without destroying the skin texture, so staying warm is key!

Snacks & Drinks

  • I’ll provide fresh fruit, cheeses, and crackers for us to snack on.
  • If you have dietary preferences, please let me know!
  • You’re welcome to bring champagne, wine, or mimosas. I’ll have a straw ready to keep your lipstick intact.
  • I’m marijuana-friendly, but keep in mind that while one puff (or one drink) can help you relax, three might affect your ability to receive complex posing direction. Plan accordingly.

Outfit Prep

  • Try on all outfits beforehand to ensure a great fit.
  • Remove all tags from your lingerie before your photo shoot. This is important because the tags are often large and distracting in photos.
  • Plan for 3-5 outfits. You can stay on the lower end of this if you want nude/implied nude shots.
  • If you think you might want to be photographed in something, bring it! It’s always better to have have and not need, then need an not have.
  • If you want a second opinion on any of your lingerie, feel free to text or email me photos of you in your outfits before your session.

Non-Lingerie Accessories to Consider

  • Hair accessories like broaches or hair clips
  • Shoes (one or two pairs max)
  • Thigh-high socks or stockings
  • Necklaces, chokers, earrings, bracelets, rings, watches. None of this is required, but if you’re into them, they can add flair to your photos.

Clear Your Schedule

  • Plan to dedicate the entire day to your session.
  • It’s up to you how long you want to go. Most of my sessions are 4-6 hours in front of the camera, plus 1.5-2 hours for hair and makeup.
  • If you have dinner plans, let me know so I know when I need to be packed up by.
  • Morning workouts are forbidden! Posing is harder work then most women anticipate. Take my word for it and give yourself the day off.

Hydration, Rest & Recovery

  • While water fasting can help you look leaner in your photos, I do not recommend it as it’ll make you feel like garbage during your photo shoot.
  • Drink plenty of water the day before your session.
  • Hydration doesn’t happen with water alone. You also need electrolytes to hydrate. Add them to your water the day before, and the morning of your photo shoot. This will help tremendously with posing fatigue. This is my favorite electrolyte mix if you’re unsure what to get.
  • Hydrated skin = better photos.
  • Expect muscle fatigue, especially in your shoulders and back the night after your photo shoot. Consider scheduling a massage a day or two after.
  • Do your best to get > 7hrs sleep the night before your photo shoot. This will be one of the single best things you can do for your photos.

Boudoir Album Preparation

  • If you’re getting a boudoir album, bring nice outfit for your opening set that you’ll work out of. Great options include: evening dresses, skirts, jeans with a blouse, flirty sweaters, etc.
  • Your album will be designed to tell a story and starting the set off briefly as a portrait session is a great way ease into your session.
  • Bonus points for outfits that have sexy ways to get in and out like zip up and button down. These make good transition shots for the album’s sexier images and will help the story flow nicer.

Last-Minute Questions?

  • I’ll check in with you the day before your session.
  • Feel free to contact me anytime with questions.
  • You got this!!!

I’m looking forward to photographing you!
