Fishing Themed Boudoir Photoshoot

This fishing themed boudoir photoshoot started because Miss A wanted to gift her boyfriend photos he would actually get excited about.

From the sound of things, cute lingerie photos weren’t really his vibe, so for her fourth session with me, Miss A decided that this time she wanted to do a photoshoot that he would genuinely be excited about.

Before her session we worked up a plan to style her session using: his Megabass fishing pole, outfits she might bring on a secluded fishing date, a pick nick basket and other small props help solidify the fishing theme.

After the shoot I designed a 16×16 collage frame she could give him for his birthday.

Sexy Fishing Photos

We captured this fishing themed boudoir session on private property along Mill Creek in Healdsburg. This set was photographed in August when the water was at it’s lowest and the days were nice and hot. For these photos I hiked 70 lbs of camera gear down to the creek to capture the following photos.

How We Styled This Fishing Themed Boudoir Photoshoot

For this photoshoot Miss A didn’t pack a bunch of lingerie as overly frilly lacy things tend to look out of place in natural settings. Instead she packed outfits she might actually pack on a sexy fishing date with her boyfriend. Then we used his gear to further style the images.

Outfits

  • Rust one-piece swim suit
  • Black one-piece body suit
  • White ribbed tank
  • Everyday thong
  • Cutoff shorts

Props

  • His Megabass pole
  • Tackle box
  • Picnic basket
  • A fake fish

The tank top and thong did the casual date looks. The rust colored one-pieces looked amazing against the trees and water. The pole was my favorite prop as it was really high quality and really sold the theme of the session. The tackle box and basket gave the kneeling set a reason to exist on the bank of the creek. We kept the gear in supporting roles so the focus stayed on her where it should be but added to the theme of the shoot.

The Team That Helped Make These Sexy Fishing Photos

Miss A. LOVES bright color hair styles. This year she has been working her way thought the colors of the rainbow with Heavy Metal Hair Queen at Oak and Ivy Hair Salon in Rohnert Park. With her green hair it really tied her to the greenery around us in a completely special way.

Makeup was done by the amazing Ugly Duckling Beauty Artistry who never misses! She used green iridescent shimmer over a berry toned eyeshadow and a berry lip stain.

The iridescent shimmer tied her makeup to her hair perfectly while the main berry tones acted as a split compliment that played off her green hair just right.

Miss. A Before & After

The Unique Gift For Her Angler Boyfriend

After the photoshoot Miss A and I did a screen share to pick our favorite photos and arrange them into a collage from. The design we settled on was a 16×16 walnut frame with a double white mat and six photos.

The main opening is a 9×9 of Miss A’s favorite photo from the set posing on the bank of the creek. The five 4×4 openings are supporting images that helped sell the fishing theme and tell the story of the day.

Originally Miss A. thought she would just gift him a folio box of her favorite images or maybe even just send him her photos digitally.

After her session though, I thought she might really like the idea of a framed collage so I mocked up some samples for her and she immediately fell in love with the idea.

The frame is on a truck on it’s way to him as I write this. I hope he loves it!
