All in Boudoir

Mary's Boudoir Photoshoot

Mary chose to have her boudoir photo shoot photographed in a studio style setting. I really love to approach these sessions from a classical standpoint with the old renaissance painters as my inspiration. These studio style boudoir sessions give a very elegant and timeless feel to the final images which is something I really love. My intention with all of my studio style boudoir sessions is to create timeless final artwork, that will be as relevant 100 years from now as they are today.

Bay Area Fine Art Nude Photographer

As a boudoir and fine art nude photographer, it is very important to me that my boudoir images are classy. My role models for this standard have always been the old renaissance painters and among my current favorite are the works of Jean-Marc Nattier. You'll notice that when these old masters painted nude women, it's always done with class using shadows and careful posing to their advantage, keeping everything timelessly beautiful.

Laura's Boudoir Photo Shoot

One of the most consistent objections I hear  from women wanting to do a boudoir photoshoot often revolves around how they perceive themselves physically. I've had some women tell me they would love to do a photoshoot, but they feel like they are getting too old, or that they feel like it's not a good idea because their body has changed since they were in their early 20's.  If you're nodding your head yes right now to what I just said you should probably re-evaluate your mindset by checking out this before and after image from Laura's boudoir photoshoot.

Jennifer's Boudoir Photo Shoot

I really enjoyed producing this boudoir photoshoot for Jennifer. I could tell that she didn't exactly have the highest hopes for what her final images would look like when she came in for her consultation. When I see this expectation in clients body language, it honestly really just fires me up to try and create unbelievable images that will get them to have that OMG reaction for their final reveal!

Veronica's Boudoir Photoshoot

What if I could change the way you saw yourself? Most women I talk to tell me openly that they would love to do a boudoir photoshoot with me, but are hesitant because they don't feel like they can look like the women in my portfolio. The easiest way I've found to answer this objection honestly and decisively is to simply show them some before and after images from some of my past clients.

Kat's Boudoir Photo Shoot

The biggest reason most women don't do a boudoir session (despite their desire to do so) is simply because they talk themselves out of it.

Boudoir isn't something you do once you gather up the confidence to do it. It's something you do despite your insecurities to feel amazing about yourself as you are.

Outdoor Boudoir Photography

This summer I had way too many of my clients ask me if I do any of my boudoir sessions outdoors. Every time I was asked the question I said of course I do and I would show them some examples from some past clients. I heard the questions with such frequency this year though, that I felt the need to create this article to hopefully answer this question once and for all:

YES!!! You can absolutely do your boudoir session outdoors!

Juliette's Boudoir Photo shoot

Today's boudoir feature is of Juliette Bellefeuille. For those of you that don't know, Juliette is also the girl that I recommend to all of my clients for sugar hair removal and spray tanning before they come in for their sessions with me. Juliette really needed a headshot for her social accounts and her brand new web site which showcases her sugar hair removal and spray tan work. Since she was going to have her hair and makeup done anyway for her headshot, I suggested that she should also do a boudoir session at the same time since I knew she was considering have one done anyway. She agreed and was super happy with the final result!

Alisha's Boudoir Photo Shoot

One of my favorite things about what I do is taking every day women, and guiding them with expert posing and lighting to make them look celebrities in a magazine. Alicia was highly skeptical that she could look like the other women in my portfolio, but I told her to trust me and just go with it. From there I would take care of the rest. Alicia did just that and took the direction I gave her super well! The results speak for themselves and Alicia got some AMAZING images from her boudoir photoshoot.

Rebekah's Boudoir Photo Shoot

As a boudoir photographer I feel like I truly have the best job on earth! I get to show women how others see them under the best circumstances even when they might not be able to see it themselves. This is the strongest reason to do a boudoir photoshoot, to change the way you see yourself. This is my passion and what I do for my clients!
