Bay Area Boudoir Photo Shoot

Mrs. B didn’t think she’d look like the women featured in my boudoir gallery, but now she is one. This bay area boudoir photo shoot marked the pinnacle of her fitness transformation (so far) and the start of seeing herself with brand new eyes.

Three years ago her husband found my work online and knew I was the one he wanted to photograph her. Life delayed her session when she became pregnant with her son, so she postponed it and used the shoot as motivation to reclaim her post-baby body.

How She Prepared For Her Photo Shoot

Mrs. B prepared for her boudoir photo shoot by transforming her post-baby body with a commitment to consistent healthy habits.

She originally planned to do the session before having kids, but life had other plans. Last year, she and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family. Instead of giving up on the session, she used it as motivation to transform her post-baby body.

She picked up a book called The One Year Challenge for Women and went all in. Following its workouts, diet tips, and routines, she lost 20 pounds and gained significant muscle tone.

When I asked what habits she changed leading up to her session, Mrs. B described three specific habits from the book:

  • She set a daily portion target
  • She started lifting weights
  • She cut back on alcohol

These three changes produced profound results in both body fat reduction and visible muscle tone.

Her results did not come from fad diets or fitness hacks. They came from the boring, proven fitness principles that have always worked and a long-term commitment to practicing them.

About This Location

Mrs. B’s boudoir photo shoot took place at the Ledson Hotel in downtown Sonoma.

About three years ago, Mrs. B’s husband found my work online and instantly knew I was the photographer he wanted for his wife’s session. Since they live out of state and weren’t familiar with the area, I suggested several of my favorite locations for her photo shoot. They ended up choosing one of my very favorites, the Ledson Hotel.

They flew in and turned the trip into a full week of wine tasting, relaxation, and quality time together, exploring Sonoma and neighboring Napa Valley. At the end of their stay, I met her at the Ledson Hotel for her session.

Behind The Scenes of Her Session

The following behind-the-scenes photographs document the exact posing, lighting, and coaching techniques used during Mrs. B’s session.

Before we started, Mrs. B told me that she didn’t think she could look like the women in my portfolio. The truth is most of my clients don’t think they’ll get photos that look like this.

That’s why I don’t leave my clients to figure it out on their own. Most, like Mrs. B., have never been professionally photographed before. This is why every pose, every hand placement, and every expression, is directed by me to show you exactly what to do.

Once Mrs. B saw herself on the back of my camera, her whole outlook changed. Her doubt vanished. From then on, she knew she was about to see herself like she never had before.

      Her session was roughly $12,500. All of my sessions are A La Carte so you only pay for the images you love after your session.
