How Should I Do My Makeup For A Boudoir Shoot?
Natural looks are always a good safe choice. It’s always wise to not change something you know will still look good well into the future. A good natural look would look someting like:
- eye liner (maybe a light wing tip)
- mascara
- subtle lip stain
- setting powder
Don’t apply your makeup too heavy or you’ll defeat the intention of the “natural” look. Avoid tacky lash extensions and remember to never use foundations with spf as they will reflect in unflattering ways under studio lighting. Mattifying foundations and HD setting powders on the other hand are always a good idea in moderation.
Boudoir Makeup Inspiration
For more elaborate boudoir makeup looks you can coordinate eye shadow, and lip colors with like color lingerie. This is what we do at our boudoir sessions. We look at the lingerie you’ve picked out and then my makeup artist incorporates the colors of those pieces into your eye and lip colors.
The following are some boudoir hair and makeup examples we styled for some of our clients.
