So here’s the mission. I basically knew I had to create photos of Pamela that were so hot, they would make her husband forget porn existed. I also knew I needed to keep this thing reasonably tasteful because I really care about that kind of thing. Is it even possible to pull off both tasteful and provocative at the same time? I think so!
Client Siobhan’s boudoir photo shoot and her full album design. Make sure and watch the video all the way to the end where you’ll get to see her reaction to seeing her final images for the very first time.
You’ll also get to hear Siobhan’s reason for doing a session for herself and her mindset of her self after having children. It’s not a painful infomercial testimonial kind of thing it’s worth hearing if you’re a mom and ever thought about doing a boudoir session for yourself.
In Her Words:
Get ready to say goodbye to all of your insecurities because by the time you’re through with your shoot, they’ll be long gone! The way Jason posed my body into and out of the light, I quickly realized I was in good hands and after he shared a few shots with me, my butterflies disappeared. As the day went on, his photos made me even more confident. I highly recommend a boudoir session with Jason - you’ll finally see yourself as beautiful as everyone else does!
One of the most curious things I get to observe as a male boudoir photographer is just how prevalent it is for women latch on to perceived body flaws and build narratives around them. As a whole, we as men don’t do this nearly as much as women do. This behavior is actually something so uncommon in men I actually have to slow down and explain women’s perspective to men curious about why a woman would want to do a boudoir session for herself.
To further exaggerate this, I’ll show women the images from past clients who did their sessions despite their insecurities and often times they will make a comment along the lines of
“what the fuck did she have to be nervous about?!? She’s gorgeous!!!”
The truth that I think most women don’t realize is that the inner critic is something that infects the minds of women of all body types and age ranges. It’s a condition that has no mercy that I’ve personally seen exhibited in published models and mothers of multiple children alike.
While currently serving another month long ban from Facebook, I thought I’d do something a little different today as I take a break from editing a gorgeous set of boudoir images (I’ll hopefully be able to share these soon!) and express my gratitude for all the amazing things I have going on in my life right now.
These images I’m sharing with you today are for me. They are of the most beautiful soul I know and my favorite fluffy thing on the planet. This is my family.
Does the thought of doing a boudoir session make you super nervous? If you’re nodding your head yes, you’re not alone. A clear majority of my clients are typically visibly nervous before we start photographing their sessions. In most cases I usually only need about 10-20 minutes to break though that nervousness and most people are completely comfortable after that.
Ideas on where to have your boudoir session photographed. This section contains a list of my favorite hotels and airbnb’s I’ve shot at over the years to help make choosing a location easy.
For those that want their session photographed somewhere unique, this post also goes over some out of the box location ideas and gives my best tips for spicing up your home should you choose to do your session there.
One of the most common objections I hear from women over 40 is concerns regarding their age. I think these women remember themselves in their younger years and feel like a boudoir session is something that should have been captured years ago thus buying into the myth that boudoir is only something you should do if you are young any physically “perfect.”
Most women that contact me, are super nervous about their sessions. They are worried about this or that perceived body flaw and how they will appear when I level my camera at them. This was not one of those sessions. No, Devon has been photographed before and she is one of the rare women I have had come see me, that is super confident in herself.

Here’s a short and sweet BTS video from my recent boudoir photo shoot with Nikki! Women like her are the major reason I love doing what I do so much! Nikki is a hardworking mom of a little boy and giving her images like the ones you’ll see in the above video is truly an amazing self confidence boost to give to a woman like her!
Author: San Francisco Boudoir Photographer Jason Guy | I can remember the first boudoir session I ever photographed. I was pretty damned nervous to be perfectly honest. Although those nerves have long since faded as I became better and more proficient at what I do, I always try and remember how I felt in those early sessions. I imagine this is probably pretty similar to how most of my clients feel at their boudoir sessions as they are photographed in an intimate setting often for the very first time.
San Francisco Boudoir Photographer Jason Guy - There is honestly very few things in my life that are as rewarding as helping someone change the way they see themselves. Today's post features my gorgeous client Nichole. Nichole was not optimistic that she was going to get images that she loved from her photo shoot, but she decided to go though with it anyway thanks in large part to her moms encouragement.
