Boudoir photography is about more than just beautiful images—it’s about self-love, confidence, and creating something deeply personal. That’s exactly what happened during this Rohnert Park boudoir photo shoot with Mrs. D, who chose to do a bridal boudoir session as a wedding gift for her husband. Like many of my clients, she arrived feeling a bit vulnerable, but by the time we finished, she was glowing with confidence, knowing she had created an unforgettable wedding gift.

In Her Words
“I have nothing but great things to say about my time spent with Jason. He is 100% professional when you might feel the most vulnerable, and he does it with style. I highly recommend booking a session with him and letting him work his magic. You truly won’t be disappointed. 5 stars.”

The Details About This Rohnert Park Boudoir Photo Shoot
Mrs. D’s session was photographed in her bedroom, proving that you don’t need a professional studio to create stunning boudoir images. Many women worry their home won’t work for a session, but personal touches often add a unique charm that no rented space can replicate. Mrs. D fully embraced this, making her session truly her own. She thoughtfully decorated her space, even making a few improvements before her photo shoot. The following were some of the notable things she did to improve her space and thus the quality of her photos.
Upgraded Her Window Dressings
Before her photo shoot Mrs. D added drapes and sheer curtains around her window to soften and control the ambient light. Enhancing your windows like this is one most effective ways to elevate your space for your photo shoot.
Added Background Elements That Light Up
Since photography literally means “painting with light” adding background elements like string lights or candles can add significant background interest to your photos.
Embracing this concept Mrs. D made a DIY string light headboard above her bed that created a beautiful setting for the photos on her bed. On another wall she had a handmade paper mâché tree with string lights where the fruit would be. This made for yet another completely unique background element that looked great in her final photos.
Picking Up Fresh Flowers The Morning Of Your Photo Shoot
Her creativity extended beyond décor, the morning of her session, she also picked up fresh roses. These were great to use as both background elements and props to enhance the romantic feel of her photos. Thoughtful details like this made her boudoir session uniquely hers, adding depth and personality to every shot.
