This Rohnert Park boudoir photo shoot was captured entirely in her bedroom in the house she and her husband rented.
While this might sound like a boring spot to do a photo shoot, it absolutely wasn’t because Mrs. D is also a crafty, Pinterest-wizard genius and styled her room with really unique diy details.
Her styling helped create a truly personalized bridal boudoir album that she gifted to her husband on their wedding day.
Her Bridal Boudoir Photos
These bridal boudoir photos were captured entirely in her bedroom with the diy styling elements she added.

The DIY Styling Ideas She Used To Enhance Her Bedroom
Mrs. D’s session was photographed entirely in her bedroom in a mundane Rohnert Park track house. This proves that you don’t need to rent a fancy hotel room to create stunning boudoir photos.
Many women worry their home won’t work for a session, but personal touches often add a unique charm that no rented space can replicate. Mrs. D fully embraced this, making her session truly her own.
She thoughtfully decorated her space, even making a few improvements before her photo shoot. The following were some of the notable things she did to improve her space and thus the quality of her photos.
She Upgraded Her Window Dressings
Before her photo shoot, Mrs. D added drapes and sheer curtains around her bedroom window.
Both of these are excellent additions, as drapes allow light to be blocked off while sheer curtains help soften harsh incoming light.
Window treatments also add depth and texture to the environment of your photos.
For these reasons upgrading your window treatments is one of the most effective ways to improve the quality of your photos.
This is also great hack if you want to save money on a fancy hotel room and instead put the money towards upgrading your own space.
She Added Background Elements That Illuminate
Since photography literally means “painting with light,” Mrs. D understood that adding light emitting elements would add significant visual interest to her set.
Embracing this concept Mrs. D made a DIY string light headboard above her bed. This created background interest to the photos on her bed.
On another wall she hand molded a paper mâché tree onto her wall with string lights where the fruit would be.
This made for yet another completely unique background element that added visual interest and style to her photos.
He Picked Up Fresh Flowers The Morning Of Her Photo Shoot
The morning of her photo shoot her husband bought her fresh cut, long stem, red roses. There were obviously her favorite flower and ended up being both a nice natural prop and also a natural element to enhance the background of her photos.
Thoughtful details like this helped personalize her session, adding depth and character to her album.
Another great budget friendly hack is to pick a wild flower bouquet with whatever is blooming during your session.
Or even better yet, book your session to coincide with your favorite bloom like this wild flower boudoir session.
In Her Words
“I have nothing but great things to say about my time spent with Jason.
He is 100% professional when you might feel the most vulnerable, and he does it with style.
I highly recommend booking a session with him and letting him work his magic. You truly won’t be disappointed. 5 stars.”
