Her Boudoir Photos
Miss J’s boudoir photos were captured at an Airbnb in Santa Rosa, California. The property was on a private lot where we captured most of the photos indoors, but also did a few outdoor boudoir photos on the beautiful rock wall in front of the house.
How Her Boudoir Session Silenced Self-Doubt and Built Confidence
Self-doubt has a way of finding even the most beautiful women. Although Miss J had always maintained a healthy lifestyle, she no longer felt the way she once did.
Over the years, she had lost touch with her carefree confidence and wanted to reignite that feeling by seeing herself from her best angles and under flattering light. Daily life makes it easy to lose sight of this, as most of us only see ourselves in harsh, unforgiving lighting right after a shower.
These moments quietly warped Miss J’s self-image over time and allowed negative self-talk to take over.
Her boudoir session was to show her all her hard work she put in at the gym. It was never about trying to look like she did when she was 20. It was about seeing herself at her very best today and remembering that she is, and always has been, beautiful.

Most of my clients tell me after their sessions that their self doubt is something they had been battling with for quite a while before their session. Some let that voice win, convincing themselves of all the reasons they shouldn’t do a session. Others, like Miss J., do their sessions despite their insecurities.
It had been quite a while since she had been in front of the camera and she was nervous she wouldn’t like what she saw. After she saw her photos she was so delighted she decided to share them all here!

This Santa Rosa boudoir photo shoot was captured at an Airbnb rental home. Since the time of this session, this particular location is no longer available for rent.
The beauty and the curse of renting locations through services like this is you can find some super cool gems on there occasionally like this place. But they come and go so fast I now only maintain a list of my favorite hotel rooms because I know those places are reliable.
If you have the time to search and want something that’s unique or perhaps with outdoor potential, it’s worth checking out the rural areas for rent around Santa Rosa. Areas like Kenwood and Occidental have fantastic houses you can rent with outdoor opportunities.
Other areas like sea ranch have rentals available that give you secluded access to very beautiful areas of the Sonoma coast line. There’s lots of very pretty homes (like this one) that you can rent fairly reasonably for the day of your session.
